"An exceptional stay from start to finish. Gracious hospitality, a true time capsule with updates in all the right places. The japanese breakfast every day was truly memorable, and the coffee shop on the property was beautiful as well. I could not recommend more, 10/10 stay, worth the price! "This small hotel is perfect in every way. The room was surprisingly spacious relative to Japanese rooms, and the fall foliage from our balcony was lovely. But it was the sweetness of the staff that we will most remember. When an Uber failed to show, the manager came out and hailed a taxi for us. "This was a spacious, comfortable and unique property in a good location. It was immaculately clean. There is a Lawson store next door and a number of good restaurants nearby. It is in walking distance to the Heian Shrine and Nanzenji Temple. Bus stops are just outside and subway stations are very close. The hotel is on a busy street, but the room is well insulated and very quiet. It has a washing machine that is supposed to also function as a dryer, but we didn’t have much luck with the dryer...

"The Blossom at Kyoto is a gem of a place to stay within walking distance of the Gojo subway station. The hotel is very elegantly styled, offers incredible service and has an amazing onsite restaurant (Kyoto Gojo Ono) which serves steaks which will melt in your mouth. We stayed in a triple room with 3 beds and it was surprisingly spacious for a Kyoto hotel. The furnishings were very moderns with a tatami mat space and elegant Japanese minimalist style. There were several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel including quick fast food options. It was an excellent experience for all of us and my teen daughter loved the place."

Onyado Nono Kyotoshichijo Natural Hot Springs

"We chose this hotel mainly for the spa and proximity to mount Fuji but I did not expect the views we received in the morning. We were blessed with clear skies and saw Mount Fuji in all of its glory. The room(s) were spacious and the bath tub was nice and comfortable. The property is a tad dated though in the sense that each room is operated with a key and not a keycard "
