The location is superb for seeing temples on the west side of Kyoto, and it’s always easy to get around, either via their free shuttle bus to Kyoto Station, or by nearby public transit with a few blocks’ walk. "The Granvia is an excellent hotel if you are coming into Kyoto on the Shinkansen. It is located right in Kyoto Station and is easily walkable to get there with luggage.
