The hotel is conveniently located about an 8 minute walk from the train station, and walking distance from Kiyomizu temple and the famous Sanenzaka and Ninenzaka streets. "We spent 10 nights for 2025 Sakura 28 March to 7 April -- trip of a dream come true -- and the Cross Hotel was a star of the stay. Location between a canal street and a main street gave the perfect spot to see cherry blossoms from the ample lobby common area and direct access to the major markets right across the street. Breakfast was fabulous - even my picky eater spouse enjoyed each morning (of course the neighboring bakery was a treat too). Gion is a scant 10 minute walk and there is direct access to the major riverfront at the end of the street where you can stroll for miles in the calm nature inside the bustling charm of Kyoto. Loved this hotel - and will stay here again."
