"Stunning grounds, lovely and accommodating staff. Our toilet seat was broken, but I didn't mention it to staff as it was only one night and we were moved to that room last minute as I couldn't access the other room so I assumed that was why. I'm confident they'd have moved us or fixed it if we said something though, they were a very good hotel."

"The best thing about this place is the staff – they’re super friendly and helpful. They accommodated my request and gave us a quiet room, which was much appreciated. We were also allowed to order a take away, to eat in the room. We were given plates and cutlery from the breakfast area which was a nice touch. "Really nice location, plenty of parking available. Nice pub and accommodation. Staff are very attentive, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Food was good quality, service was very good. Breakfast was very good. Room was good. The only slight negative, and I hate to add that it seems to be common with all hotels, is that the cups were very small for tea / coffee. I'm sure if we'd asked they would have had some decent sized mugs? Overall, you can't go wrong, clean, beautiful...

"Not sure what we were going to find as the reviews are very mixed however we arrived just after 11am and we parked at the hotel very easily. We went to reception to say we had parked and the very helpful lady checked and said our room was ready so we checked in. It was a large room with a massive bed overlooking the end of the race course. It was a quiet room. We did not eat at the hotel that day but we did have breakfast which was very nice. The Halyard Liverpool, Vignette Collection by IHG

"The welcome by the front of the house staff was superb. Very friendly and helpful and gave excellent recommendations for local restaurants and cafes. Booking in was quick and efficient. Room was lovely. Fabulous hot shower. Walking distance 5 /10 minutes to John Lewis which you can see from the hotel. 10 minute walk to Central station. Lots of cafes/restaurants/bars close by. We had a drink in the hotel bar which is very nice decor. Prices reasonable for a hotel. The bar staff were miserable and not friendly. At 9pm staff started setting the bar area up for breakfast which did not do anything for the relaxing atmosphere. Apart from this the hotel is wonderful and I would definitely recommend. "
