We stayed for just one night before a flight out. Standard room, 2 people.
Loved: had all the features of an American-style hotel. Large bed, A/C, big room, large shower with amenities. Elevator, key cards, dining and bar. Couldn't ask for anything else really. Dining seemed really popular, though we didn't eat there. No need for a shuttle to the airport--very short walk to the terminals and even a shorter walk to the train station.
Issues: you do have to train or Taxi to get anywhere other than right there--there's truly nothing around. But you have the dining there, so you don't have to leave the hotel if you don't desire to do so. Manchester as a city was a huge bust, especially considering the cost to get to the city (especially compared to the cost of the Tube in London, this seemed so pricy).
