"We returned for our 4 day Mirissa trip and stayed at Central Beach. The hospitality, atmosphere and comfort was wonderful during our last stay and once again, met our expectations. The restaurant has really good food, variety, fresh seafood, and kind, helpful staff. This hotel has a beautiful beachside location, is a walkable distance to stores, restaurants, a doctor and gift shops. We are definitely going to be repeat visitors. "

"Let's just say, I will definitely return. Clean, design like, minimal hotel. Private access to one of the best beaches in the South. Staff are friendly and the place feels homely. Easy access to local beach bars, restaurants, the train station, etc. Walk, tuk tuk, book a car via the hotel. If you are looking to relax on a quiet elegant property, solo or with partner, take it day by day, with amazing views, I recommend the Sandhya. Thank you. Frances (British)"

"This is a very nice beach front hotel. Popular place since 70s. Close to the city center with bus/train stations, banks/ATMs. Turtle beach also very close, we can feed the friendly sea turtles and take photos. Kids friendly beach area. "We had such a pleasant stay at this property. It was so calm and serene. With a stunning view of the fort. There's a small safe area to swim in the ocean as the rest of the sea is quite dangerous. A nice warm pool that offers the same view and peaceful vibe. The dining option for us was a paid dinner that had authentic Sri Lankan food. "Good: The beach. The pool. The variety of dining options. The hotel though in several areas like the rooms, lifts etc could be cleaner / better maintained. The AC struggled to lower the room temp below 24C. The light in the cupboard where the safe is located would not switch off. Flushing the toilet resulted in it running for over 5 minutes. The grout on the shower enclosures could do with the occasional clean with bleach…. Not what I expected of a hotel with such high daily charges."

"This a nice property with staff that tries very hard. Pros- we started with a really nice welcome drink and our room had an awesome view (very small deck) and a very comfy bed with nice pillows. The shower works well and has a lot of hot water. The pool is lovey. Great yoga room and yoga instructor. We went for a massage and that was delightful, the masseuse is wonderful. Do not stay here

"Do not stay here, possibly one of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The room was barely functional, the glass to the balcony was majorly cracked, the bathroom barely stocked with 1 towel and a tiny piece of soap, the fridge was dirty and broken, we had wires coming out of the wall where lights were suppose to be. The food at breakfast was disgusting, I asked for a clean table and they proceeded to seat us at a dirty table without any effort to clean it and left the previous guests dirty napkins! I honestly don’t understand how this hotel is supposedly 4 stars. It should be shutdown. "
