「We stayed here 4 nights and it was fantastic! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, staff friendly and helpful. The food was good, served at tables under the shade of the coconut trees by our waiter, Karu, who was always attentive and polite. One day we requested a special meal of fresh fish for dinner (must be requested at breakfast time), which the chef cooked to perfection and served at the time of our choosing that evening. 「This was our second stay at Asian Jewel and it was every bit as enjoyable as the first. Our room (Jasmine) had a direct panoramic view of Bird Lake and we saw many different species of birds as well as small animals including chipmunks, water monitors, geckos (and a cobra one one day but soon banished by the staff...). The staff here are wonderful, friendly and welcoming and nothing too much trouble, and the food is excellent with both Sri Lankan and British options. We are vegetarians and they...

「Cute little homestay. The dog sounds like it is the biggest meanest dog ever... he is not. He is small, cute and really wants to be chased around the house. The rooms are perfect, AC, Bathrooms are nice with hot showers and a fridge. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Location is great, the town is super noisy and busy, this place is about 200 meters from the busy busy road. 5 minute walk to the beach. Definitely recommended.」
