"Pros: Spacious and clean room. Beautiful night view. Cons: Uncomfortably cold in the bathroom, toilet and bedrooms. Lights fixtures are too light and we kept hitting our heads. An amazing hotel and magical winter experience

"A truly amazing experience. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. A ryokan experience with a modern twist. We took the complimentary shuttle bus from Sapporo Station to the hotel. Everything about the hotel is lovely. The room is just stunning, with its own onsen. The public onsen is very nice too. The meals are Japanese cuisine at its best. Breakfast and dinner. And the setting of the restaurant overlooking the Jozankei valley! Over breakfast one morning we looked at heavy snow falling. It was magical. Jozankei town is a winter wonderland with so much snow and very high snow banks. Worth a wonder around. We also enjoyed the different teas at the tea lounge and ice cream and hot drinks at the Zen Lounge after our hot spring bath. We highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants lots of snow in winter, on the ground and from the sky. "

"Chalet Ivy Jozankei went above and beyond our expectations. The deluxe room was spacious and clean. We enjoyed every details they had in the room, common area and restaurant. The staff were all super friendly and nice. We will definitely recommend Chalet Ivy to all of our friends and family. The dinner and breakfast meals were amazing. We had such an incredible time here that We didn’t want to leave! "

"Overall, the accomodation has very basic offerings. To enter the house, we have to go through the reception to go to the back of the house. The rooms are on 2nd floor so we had to bring the luggages up and down a flight of narrow stairs. Its a problem when the luggage is big and bulky. We stayed here 1 night so it was not a big deal for us. Great for short stays and not for fussy guests."
