"“Lovely stay with a few quirks”
Stayed at Dukes’ Palace and really enjoyed it! Here’s a quick rundown of the highs and a couple of things to watch for:
What I loved:
• Roomy and Comfortable: The bedroom was huge with loads of storage space, which was perfect. The bed was super comfy, and the room was quiet and dark – just right for a good night’s sleep.
• Friendly Faces Everywhere: The staff were amazing, so friendly and welcoming, which really made a difference.
A Few Little Things:
• Corridor Clutter: While my room was spotless, the hallways got a bit messy during cleaning times – bags and supplies were sometimes left out, which was a little out of character for such a lovely hotel.
• Pricey Breakfast: Breakfast at €38 a pop felt a bit much, so I ventured out for breakfast instead. Definitely recommend trying one of the many local cafes!
• Shower Could Be Better: The shower felt a bit basic for such a lovely room. Not a big issue, but it did stand out.
Overall, Dukes’ Palace is a beautiful spot with spacious rooms and fantastic staff. With just a few tweaks, it could be even better – but it’s already a wonderful choice!"
