"Great place to stay. I loved the free breakfast, the restaurant on the first floor has great burgers but the staff at that restaurant is not very friendly, they could use some training. The hotel is located right next to a subway station which makes it very convenient. "

"The staff were really helpful on the day after we arrived. The reception gave us a map and talked us through all the attractions. They gave us tips and were always quick to react when we asked for anything. The breakfast was a great start to she day. There was sufficient choice for breakfast and you certainly would not stay hungry but it would be lovely if there was a protein choice for those who do not eat meat or eggs. Sonething like beans, tofu or another protein. I would definitely stay here...

The lady at the front desk was very helpful, and the two men that treated us exceptionally well when we first arrived and when we were leaving, even laughing with us and making sure all of our needs were met. The coloured girl from downstairs where the restaurant was, helped us so much with shopping suggestions, all while showing her beautiful smile. "Carina Hotel was in a perfect location! Easy walk to all the tourist locations(Grand Bazar, Hagia Sofia, basilica cistern & blue mosque) the public transportation line is around the corner and very easy to take! The front counter staff were so nice and welcoming and were there to answer and help with anything that we needed (especially Shams and Halil). Our cleaning lady (I’m sorry I forgot her name) was so sweet and made sure that we had everything that we needed and kept our room smelling wonderful. She was one of the nicest people we met in Istanbul! The breakfast was good and the beds a little hard for my liking, but overall the stay was wonderful and I would recommend to friends when they visit Istanbul! Thank you Carina Gold for an unforgettable experience! "

"I thought the property was very well maintained and its location is tremendous. It is located within walking distance of the Hagia Sofia Grand Mosque, the Blue Mosque, the Cistern of Theodosius, and the Marmara Sea. It was a quiet place to stay in the midst of a bustling and noisy city. The staff was very professional and courteous and welcoming. I thought the bed mattress needed to be replaced or repaired as had a tough time sleeping on it but otherwise we really enjoyed our time at the Hotel. Will definitely stay there again. "

Fantastic stay in the King Suite

"Very warm and friendly welcome on arrival, and met by Ozzie on reception with a welcome drink. He explained about breakfast, offered trips and we were then shown to our amazing room. Great view from balcony, spotlessly clean and fresh bottled water every day. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. So much food and lots of choice - we certainly didn’t need lunch after the huge breakfast. Fantastic rooftop terrace and restaurant with excellent views all around. Staff all very friendly and attentive and couldn’t fault anything. "
