I didn’t mind this but I wish we were told in advance as we were traveling multiple luggages with children. The condition of the house was good, although stairs were dusty. I didn’t bring this up as we were out most of the time. "

"I’ve been to many capsules across Japan and my stay here was at the too. Yes, I’ve stayed in Kyoto, Osaka, but wanted to spend a few days in Ōtsu and experience a slower pace and so glad I did! The reviews on Google and Orbitz rated The Calendar high so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. However, I do need to mention if you are sensitive to smell you might notice the slight scent of smoke. "Really nice rooms. Even though on a busy street rooms were quite quiet. Not much at all in walking distance for dining. About a 20 minute walk to subway, have to climb stairs over an overpass en route. "
