"This is a oasis or calm and tranquilly just metres away from the hustle and bustle of a major route through the old city medina. The host and hostess were a delight, very friendly and accommodating. Although their English was on par with my French, we managed with humour and good grace. They were prepared to get up early and make a breakfast before I left. I would highly recommend this hidden gem"

"Nice and big hotel, unfortunately it is under renovation, the front entrance and pass way are covered by metal fence. Lobby is spacious, rooms are little bit dated, shower head doesn’t work well. Breakfast was not what we expected, but at least they have omelette and coffee, selections of bread. "

Asked for a quiet room and got on on Main Street 6 lanes and thousands of motorcycles. They changed me but to a smaller room. "

"Was hassled by their in-house tout to do an expensive guided tour before we even stepped foot inside. Outside door is locked at all times and we had to ask them to open the door each time we wanted to get something from our car. They tried to charge us for parking (it was supposed to be free). They said we could not eat outside food - only eat in their over-priced 'restaurant'. Ad on Hotels.com said there was 4 bars/restaurants (making it sound like a resort). Total fabrication. "Hotel is ok location...close enough to the train station and new town. A bit of a walk to the medina. The staff were friendly. My room was on the 1st floor just above the bar and bar terrace so the noise was very loud until midnight or someones 1am. So dont expect any sleep before things close up. However i did find a fantastic little cafe close by - Breizh Cafe which is so friendly and does the best well food....all brilliantly priced!"

"The breakfast was lovely, fantastic view from the bar and it was very clean and safe. Walking distance from the big shopping Center Carefour.. highly recommended, we had a lovely room 110, which we loved as it with a courtyard and we could relaxed after the busy day sightseeing. "

"I've mixed views on this one. I reached around 8pm and it took me 45 minutes to find this place. Fes is confusing and you will get lost so I'd have appreciated if the Riad had shared directions/ landmarks/ advice on how to reach them. I am surprised nobody else's review has this issue. I'm guessing they all took the train pickup service that the Riad offers. I didn't as it's much cheaper to take a taxi. The Riad is run by a very sweet lady who made sure I had breakfast every morning before...

"Riad Fes is a gorgeous property with Moroccan architecture and decor at its finest; it perfectly combines unique character and luxury. The rooftop has beautiful views of the city and Rif mountains. Anoüæŕ was a great bartender and server who was so happy and helpful. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable. We really enjoyed the Andalusian music at dinner and the musician Bernise was very welcoming. We recommend trying the eight Moroccan salads at the Restaurant Gayza. The Valentine’s Day rose petals, Fez traditional hats, and heart-shaped pavlova and chocolates were very cute for celebrating. They easily coordinated day tours and excursions for us. We were confused by the light switches in the room and the luggage service was delayed but were minor inconveniences. Most guests were American as well. All in all, it was a wonderful 3-night stay in Fes! "
