"Check in at 3pm but you can rest at the lounge area for drinks and ice cream. Walking to the Torri gate takes about 10-12min but lots of interesting shops to browse thru. The magnificent Torri gate is definitely worth seeing and you can go out at low tide. The miyajima JR ferry terminal is just across the hotel which made access easy. Dinner at hotel was buffet style , not say plenty food options but most items are done well. Same about breakfast too. You will not regret taking a room facing...

"This is a fabulous property. A proper Japanese house with paper screens and tatami mats, but with a western main bed and a really exciting jacuzzi bath tub! The shrine next door is lovely, and although the immediate buildings are a bit industrial, the house is genuinely lovely to stay in. The bus route into the city is close by, and it's on the way to Miyajima."

"The property is really nice and the view is outstanding. The only slight issue was finding the place where I had to pick up the keys. Google maps showed me the back of the place not the front and I wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for some helpful locals. Once I found the guy who had the keys.... No problems whatsoever"
