Ryokans in Hiroshima Prefecture

"Doesn’t have all your amenities (gym, etc) and you have to pick up your own thing like coffee and stuff from the first or top floors, and the decor and feel is contemporary. BUT, great place to stay. Super clean. Large-ish rooms. Breakfast buffet is western and most excellently done. Hassei, the okonomiyaki dive, the one you want to go to, is a few Japanese blocks away. It’s a cab ride from the train station, a hop and a skip away from the Peace Memorial (where you must spend a half day of your visit there…). English works well. Staff are super kind. Worth giving it a try. "

"I really enjoyed my stay at the Nest Hotel. Very clean and neat premises with a warm atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff. The room itself was clean and the bed a very generous size and super comfortable. The Nest Hotel Hatchobori is in an excellent location too. In short, I loved this place and would recommend it very highly. "

"Fantastic hotel and service. You will immediately feel the warmth of this place the moment you first step onto the property and greeted by the front concierge woman. The women that checked us in was absolutely perfect for this position. She was caring, spoke very good english, and even upgraded our room to a world class ocean view room. I would only stay at this hotel if i'm in Hiroshima again."

"a very spacious and beautifully decorated hotel the staff are very friendly and the beds are very, very comfy. Two things I didn’t like about the hotel are no deluxe double rooms with large beds, only twins bed. This is something the hotel could change. For me another letdown was the breakfast I found there to be some items that were poor quality such as the croissant, butter and in general the pastry section the breakfast was very much catered for Japanese style rather than continental visitors. The omelette station give us a very few ingredients inside omletette chefs could have been more generous."
