"Stayed here on a whim, travel a lot with work and try to pick small independent places where I can, usually with a pub. Unfortunately, the pub was shut as it was a Monday, but I just crossed the road and went there for food and drinks so no problem. The room was beautiful, bright, very clean and very spacious. It looked newly decorated and done very tastefully, felt like I was staying in a stately home, not the local boozer! I mentioned to some locals I was working with that I was staying here...

"Looked after extremely well. Not certain about the lack of amenities in the double room for disabled people. Nowhere to hang bathroom robes or wash bags and for a non-disabled person the wash basin was extremely low, small and difficult as an older person to use. "

"The service provided by the local team at Gisborough Hall was of the highest order, but more important was the fact that staff were always cheerful and displayed a positive demeanour which is so sadly lacking in many hotels and restaurants in this country today. "We had an executive room, which was a fantastic size. There was a lounge area, a good size desk, bathroom had a bath with a powerful shower and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a minibar in the room, an ironing board and iron and reasonable wardrobe space if you were staying for any period of time. We parked the car in the car park which had enough spaces, even on a weekend although the spaces were tiny and hard to get in and out the car. The restaurant was quiet (no music or...
