"We stayed there for a fair held within the hotel. Not sure we would stay there for anything else but didn’t have a problem with it at all"

"Indian restaurant closed which was disappointing as this was a determining factor in my decision to stay. Explanation being ‘they’re doing something in the kitchen’ but not communicated at any point in the booking process. Also never mentioned gym or pool during check in so maybe that was closed too..."

"Arrived for a 2 night stay to be told our second night was cancelled due to government take over of the hotel. No call/email warning us of this so we arrived with two tired children and couldn’t then check into our room for three hours whilst I called hotels.com to try and sort it out. Hotel staff were useless and wouldn’t even make eye contact or offer help. Ended up ringing the USA for hours as hotels.com don’t have a UK switchboard. Abysmal service"

"Rooms very warm as usual. Sink was very slow at draining and wasn't fixed. Staff knowledge was poor regarding parking and breakfast booking. Better directions to hotel as the entrance is at the rear underneath the motorway. "

"I really like this hotel, close to the river and park, good pubs, not far from London. Great pool and hot tubs. Only gripe is the black mould in the shower, so easy to sort, but looks awful."
