The conservatory was really relaxing and comfortable staff always at hand and polite rooms quit nice and comfortable beds rooms very quickly cleaned done by the time you had breakfast plenty of choice of breakfast great hotel all round

Stayed here for a couple of days over the Easter break. I booked for the views over Windermere which were stunning but there is so much more. Really liked this hotel, I love the blend of modern and period pieces, a really nice feel to the place. Lots of lovely areas in the hotel to enjoy and relax, the brasserie, conservatory and gardens. Breakfast was also delicious in the restaurant, very pleasant. All the staff without exception were polite, smiley and professional and a credit to the hotel. Would definitely stay here again, loved it!

Excellent hotel. Staff very accommodating. Bedrooms beautiful and clean. Bathroom spacious. We had a lakeside room and the view was lovely. Pool and spa area lovely too, with excellent changing rooms. Gardens well kept, with plenty of seats to have an afternoon drink or just an hour relaxing and reading. Cannot recommend enough. Will definately consider on our next trip to the lakes.

Great location near the lakeside boat stop and lovely views. Parking was included and not too far away. Staff were always friendly and the hotel had some nice touches like a kids goody bag, duck food and the pool area. My only issues were that the lift was unreliable which made a difference to us with older relatives and the evening food options were limited and pretty expensive. I would probably stay again though as overall it was very positive.

Dinner was expensive £26 for a 3" by 2" piece of fish on a cup full of some stewed veg? Duvet was very heavy, some staff where surly and looked p×××ed off. £14 for an egg mayonnaise sandwich whose bread was on the turn and nit fresh. Reception staff andhouse keeping girls were lovely

Very dissapoinred , looking from the outside , needs a good up keep . We upgraded to a lake view suite , which wow the room was lovely, but for the price , and the kind of room , we were expecting a few more little touches, than staying in a normal room,the room needs a good lick of paint , paint chipped , and ceiling in the bedroom was brown . 1st night in the bar food was amazing , 2nd night in the restaurant was awful , meal came out cold , sent back , was no better . The lamb was gone in a mouth full , definantly not value for money , breakfast ordered came out completely wrong , had to go back and get me a egg as was missed off , some of the staff , just were not interested at all . Checked out and mentioned , she wrote it down , but whether this actually gets passed on , such a shame , talking to other guests thrre was a few thinking the same as us .

My first time staying at the lakeside and so glad I chose this hotel! I came to stay whilst it was my birthday weekend and it was amazing from start to end. All the staff were consistently polite and attentive. The room was very big and clean, a nice surprise of a personalised birthday card and chocolates were so nice to arrive to. The hotels views were stunning from every angle. So peaceful and a great place to spend your birthday. Lovely choices for breakfast as well as dinner. So glad I chose this hotel for my birthday yesterday. I will be booking to come back and also recommending to friends and family.

Lovely hotel, had a nice weekend. Room was spacious and comfortable. Shower powerful. Beds comfy. Was surprised there was no fridge or toiletries, only a wall pump shampoo. Walls are paper thin, thankfully other guests mostly considerate but could even hear noses being blown from next door! Food at brasserie was hit and miss, and the shoutng from the kitchen was odd and unpleasent. As another table commented, it was like being in McDonalds... Surroundings and social areas were lovely, duck feed was nice touch, breakfast was very nice. Would return but some really easy to fix things would make the hotel even better
