"So, we were fully aware that Quito had power black outs. Our other accommodations told us times, patterns, things to be aware of so we were good. Staff here not so accommodating and they didn't say they had no generator. So 6pm came around and it was complete black out, not even in hallways etc. Had to go out for dinner by torch in not the most safe district. We're pretty confident and ok with the black outs, if we'd been told that the hostel had nothing. "

"Avoid!!! I arrived at about 5:30 at night, had a booking confirmed for over a week and NOBODY WAS THERE! Rang the bell, messaged and tried to call several times - no reply! "Wonderful place. Everyone was so helpful and accommodating. They arranged transportation for us. The suite was well equipped with breakfast items but they still delivered hot croissants in the morning. The rooms were cleverly designed to use space well and still retain the original character of the house. The street is full of restaurants so you don’t have to walk far. Close to public transportation. Highly recommend!"
