Welcome to Maine Alpin Haus, an idyllic slopeside A-Frame offering unparalleled ski in/ski out opportunities. Nestled directly on Smelt Streamer trail within the new Parmachenee A-Frame Village at Saddleback, this home offers unrivaled access for skiing, snowboarding, skinning, and winter sports enthusiasts of all levels.

This charming A-Frame boasts a simple, yet cozy design, inspired by family ski adventures in Switzerland. The main living space features high ceilings adorned with skylights and expansive windows on the second floor, inviting ample natural light and an airy ambiance. Revel in unobstructed mountain views and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets from the open kitchen and living area with cozy fireplace. Situated in the South Branch area below the lodge, this haven offers convenient access for skiers of all levels, allowing for ski-in and ski-out ease during the winter months. Even after the lifts have closed, returning home from the lodge and pub is a hassle-free ski or walk. During spring, summer and fall, explore the mountain bike trails just outside Maine Alpin Haus, traverse the woodland trails, or venture to the summit from your doorstep.

A four-season base for adventure, access to the Rangeley Trails Center for nordic skiing, snowshoeing, fat biking, mountain biking, walking, and wildlife observation is conveniently close by. Saddleback Mountain's summit (Maine's 7th highest peak) and the Appalachian Trail are a little over a two mile hike away (the owners drew inspiration to build this home after their own Appalachian Trail thru-hike). Nearby, short strolls lead to ponds and waterfalls, and local maps and guidebooks are provided to assist in planning your outings or excursions to world-class paddling and fly fishing locations.

Just a 10-minute drive away, the town of Rangeley awaits, offering a grocery store, bowling alley, and an array of restaurants and shops.

Overall a very positive experience- some things based on overall price of rental make it less positive. While we understand “it’s the time of year “ the unit was quite full of fruitflies and ladybugs at every window- with no flyswatters

This A frame was gorgeous, clean, had all the amenities. Saddleback is an incredible mountain, terrain for all levels, friendly staff, amazing food. Super easy access on and off the mountain. Can’t say enough good things about this trip!!
