Staff were super friendly Price was super low compared to Galena and even other Dubuque/E Dubuque properties. Next door to Timmerman’s supper club which is delicious Beds were super comfortable Room had microwave and fridge I’d stay there agaon

Property was easy to access and the cost was decent for the area and a last minute rental. The elevator was a little sketchy so we took the stairs each time. The ice machine on our level did not work but the one below did. The indoor pool and hottub were not open or clean that they would be used. And there was a blood stain on our bedding. Breakfast was the weakest I've ever had. It was literally a loaf of bread, butter, cream cheese and 2 bottles of water. That's seriously it. The juice machine was off and everything else was completely empty.

This property was just as described. Nothing fancy but was great for us! Room was quiet and comfortable. Loved that Timmerman’s Supper Club was walking distance. All the things we wanted to do were just a bridge away. We’d stay again!

It's not modern or fancy, but is very clean - white sheets, towels. bathtubs, toilets seem to be newer - very white and clean. walls and carpet seem to be newer. fridge and MW clean. Also, i liked that windows can be open - so, we slept with fresh air (and did not need the AC or did not inhale the old air.

Was told after we checked in and paid that the pipes were rusty and to let them run a little to get the orange color out. For breakfast they advertised pastries and coffee. No thanks on the coffee offer if made with rusty water and no pastries. Only some opened bags of bagels and community containers of peanut butter and cream cheese. Place old but it was clean. Wish it had an exhaust fan in bathroom.

As a place to lay your head & be a tourist in Galena & Dubuque it is very conveniently located off Rte 20. Clean & nice, I wouldn’t say it is 5 star, but worth every penny & the fact that Timmerman’s Super Cub is right across the parking lot was really nice. I’d definitely stay again.

It was rather strange, as I think we were the only ones in the hotel. There is a medical clinical study there. It was clean, neat & safe, with decent breakfast options.

Unusual place
The hotel has some sort of energy field therapy offered in first floor rooms. From the sign in the lobby it seems to be some sort of Alzheimer’s disease. They make you sign a waiver if you stay on the property. They couldn’t share many details . Reading the document, I asked what are the side effects/ risks. They said there aren’t any. Well then why do you need us sign a waiver to stay in a non-treatment room?
