"AWESOME!!! Simply could not have been better. Clean, quiet, family-owned, felt like home. Daily breakfast was just right and sitting on the front porch or by the pool was glorious. Cobblestone path to town is adjacent to the property-- a bit steep but doable. Manuel Jr provided us with dining options and Manuel Sr recommended a winery that was excellent (Quinta do Vallado). We hope to go back!"

"We enjoyed our stay here, and they arranged a wonderful day of wine tasting and a cooking class for us. The things we did not like, though, were that the gym in the basement was very warm, and also the outdoor pool was not open, even though it was quite hot out. The breakfast was nice. There is not much to do in the immediate area, so you would want to have a car, or a driver arranged for your time there. We did not use any of the spa services. They have bikes to use, but we did not inquire...
