"The staff is very friendly. Good location and distance to food. My only complaint is that the bed is very uncomfortable and after climbing 500 steps at La Fortuna Waterfall a comfy bed is what I needed. One spring poked my niece in her back and had to put a folded towel over it. There is no TV and reception in the room is pretty bad which is not a complaint but a suggestion to fellow travelers if staying here, download some movies to your phone so you can watch at night. Like I said only...

"The thermal springs were so relaxing. Elegant style but the place didn't feel stiff or stuck-up. Staff was incredibly kind and always went the extra mile. Relaxing, calm atmosphere. Went out of their way to acknowledge our honeymoon on several occasions with rose petals, towel animals, a note, and a free dessert. "

"This is a lovely hotel just outside La Fortuna. A rushing river runs behind the property and the grounds are filled with interesting birds. The room was brand new and the breakfast was good. You pretty much need a car to get to town for dinner or anything else, but the tour companies will come to get you for the various adventures. The only restaurant nearby was Mary's BBQ and we had a bad meal and rude customer service there. Read the reviews before you have anything more than a drink there."
