"The hotel is very nice and clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The riverview is worth the upgrade especially at night when the city lights up. The breakfast has a nice mix of western and Chinese foods. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and a short walk to a ferry to cross the river. "Good location, good decoration. We’ve got a city view room, which I think not attractive enough. River view room cost a lot more. Room is spacious but Lighting is not bright enough. Even if I turn off all the lights ， We couldn’t even find a place to do make up."

"Booked 4 upgraded rooms with the family. Staff are under trained. Definitely catered to Chinese speaking guests only and not foreign friendly. Upon arrival, (it was 6pm) they gave us a room barely ready with the windows open. Immediately after entering, our nose were filled with such harsh chemicals. Unbearable. "

"This hotel is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking designs that truly make it a work of art. You can tell that a lot of care and attention went into the building, and the result is a beautiful, clean, and welcoming space. The staff were incredibly nice and professional, providing excellent service throughout my stay. The location is perfect—conveniently close to many attractions. I walked to visit Hong Ya Dong and enjoyed some amazing hot pot nearby. There's also a shopping mall nearby, adding even more convenience. With so many things to do in the area, this hotel is definitely the best choice for anyone visiting. Highly recommend!"

Good staff but difficulty communicating

"The room was smoke free and pretty clean. I did find it a bit warm and difficult to turn the thermostat down. The staff were warm, attentive and friendly and would go out of their way just to come to my door and ask if I needed things. Here’s the problem: the hotel advertises itself as having English language service, and in truth this service was very limited. I chose this hotel because it was a USA based hotel chain that advertised English service. I had difficulty communicating with most staff, both of us using translator apps that did not always communicate the right thing. Even ordering room service off their own menu was a headache. A few times it seemed more senior staff had to be pulled away from other duties to help me which I felt guilty about. I don’t expect ALL staff at a hotel in China to have fluent or stronger working English but I was surprised so few did. Worse, because as a foreign tourist I did not have a Chinese phone number, the staff wanted my Chinese friend’s number, and asked for her to translate. She was not staying with me the whole time and this was not an option, plus it was a burden on her."
