Spend some time strolling around the NC Cube Canal Walk shopping complex, which houses a wide range of shops as well as other amenities. What really sets this mall apart is its chic design, which incorporates plenty of outdoor space for relaxing, people-watching and taking a break from all that shopping.
As its name suggests, the mall is built around a canal. Walk its length and see the pretty details that make this development so appealing. These include a playful horse statue rearing up from the water and bright decorative globes overhead, which are illuminated after the sun sets. Other fun touches to look for are topiaries shaped like enormous chess pieces, fountains and colorful animal sculptures.
The development is enormous, sprawling across five blocks. Visit the mall’s four separate areas, which are themed around the four seasons of the year. Inside the buildings, find stores selling ultra-fashionable clothing of the type that have made South Korea famous for its style. Brands that cater to a broad spectrum of budgets are on sale here. Shop for books, work out at the gym and choose from a wide selection of restaurants for lunch or dinner.
After you have finished shopping, head to nearby Songdo Central Park. This is a good place to spend a lazy afternoon, drifting among the locals who love to relax in this pleasant green space. Get a takeout coffee from one of the cafés in the mall and bring it with you to enjoy in the sun.
Travel to the NC Cube Canal Walk development by subway. Both the Central Park station and the International Business District station are within easy walking distance. Unlike some other malls in Incheon, the development is rarely filled with people. However, if you want to be sure of avoiding the crowds, try to visit on a weekday afternoon. The mall is open until late in the evening every day.
