"This was a beautiful stay. The facility is a little aged but it's been maintained well and the room views are phenomenal. The baths were clean and there was enough options that getting away from some of the noisier guests wasn't too difficult. In the morning I had the baths completely to myself and it was incredibly relaxing. Absolutely would stay here again. The only thing that was a downside to my stay was the massage. "We were a family with young children and stayed at Villa B, which was a standalone 3-floor loft-style apartment. It worked really well for us - bedroom with 2 queen-sized beds and ensuite bathroom (including bathtub, washing machine and heater for clothes drying). The second "storey" was a small but well-equipped kitchenette, with a seating area. On the third "storey" was a loft with two sets of futons available. Villa A is closest to the road so we did hear the occasional vehicle passing by...

"The room is spacious. No elevator, it's can be tough to carry heavy luggage up and down. There's only public bath, no private shower. It's a quiet area, most stores and restaurants are closed after 5 pm, and before 9 am. Short distance from buses, but a bit challenging for walking with luggage, and good luck if you can find a taxi in the area. "

"A location right on the lake. It was a good 20 mins walk to open restaurants …. A lot close at 5 pm. This hotel seems to specialise in coach parties which makes it impersonal and soulless. "An absolutely beautiful hotel, the staff were very welcoming and polite. Their service was exceptional. The luxurious room with private onsen was a wonderful unique experience. The room, furniture and bathroom were in great condition. We would definitely come back! "

"A true traditional ryokan experience. The feel and service of all the amentities was superb. We were worried about the food as it was very unique. However all of it exceeded expectations. All the food was worth trying and had such an earthy feel to it. The service of the staff members were impeccable. Very kind and helpful. The place is little far to get to. So recommend calling ahead for shuttle service from the ryokan. Highly recommended."
