The new Frio River Bunkhouse is a tiny cabin perfect for either a one person retreat or couple’s getaway. At a cozy 304 square feet this nook of a cabin has everything you need for a rejuvenating experience in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
The Bunkhouse sleeps 2 in a queen-sized bed and offers a bathroom/shower combo. The living area (full sofa & smart TV) and kitchenette/dining peninsula offer everything you need for a quick weekend or extended visit.
Outside you’ll find a couple of Adirondack chairs around the fire pit, a Weber charcoal grill, and a picnic table under the trees for dining al fresco.
Our 5-acre property features 3 individual cabins. You may see your neighbors, but each cabin enjoys plenty of space. If you're interested in renting the entire property for a family or friends gathering, you can send an inquiry through the Vrbo platform.
Our spot on the Frio River is perfect for relaxing, not too deep, and offers several swimming ‘holes’. Park your chairs and canopy in the river and kick back with a cold drink.
If you’re looking for a quiet getaway, our private stretch of river is enjoyed only by surrounding landowners and their guests - there are no tubers passing through.

Head down to Garner State Park for some stand up paddle boarding, hiking up Old Baldy (elevation 1840ft), and stay for the storied dance that’s happened nightly during summer months since the 1940s. Or head over to Lost Maples for excellent hiking with trails for every level of hiker, and where in the fall you can check out the prehistoric Maple trees and their gorgeous fall foliage.

Please note our section of the river here is not suitable for tubing or kayaking, but if you’d like to go, both Leakey and Concan offer several river outfitters. We recommend Happy Hollow just south of Leakey and Andy’s on River Road in Concan where you can rent tubes and kayaks and enjoy 2-way shuttle service.
Not a summer outdoors person? We still have some thing for you. Leaf watchers love us in the fall and snowbirds love to use our cabins as a getaway in the winter. Our area is also great for birders as birds and monarch butterflies migrate through our area year round.
A beautiful destination anytime of year!
