The black sand beach is great for walking or riding horseback, but not swimable. ( the pool is popular) We loved sitting on our porch in the morning looking at the ocean hearing the birds. "Excellent beach for a morning (or afternoon, or evening) ocean swims with plenty of seating options for hotel guests. Towel service was very handy, bikes convenient for short jaunts into Kapa’a, lawn games fun for the family, and poolside amenities very tidy. We loved the 70’s vibe and relaxed atmosphere. Everything was very clean and well organized and evening phosphorescence a huge bonus. Was also a great location for visiting the south or north shore without taking up too much driving time....

"Went to visit some family and needed a unit that could accommodate six people! The images that are on the profile for this hotel are not bad. But when we got to the unit, it was honestly 10 times better. I was a little sketch at first, but when we arrived, it was really nice. Unit 27 is where we stayed and it is actually two stories with two separate balconies. Both rooms are upstairs along with the laundry Stacker. Full size kitchen with Appliances and everything you need. Very happy with this...
