There is parking space for three cars in the driveway. In addition to the spectacular view, the home offers quick and easy access to EMU and JMU in minutes. There are grocery stores conveniently located near-by and delicious food within walking distance, including Bowl of Good and La Morena's. The Blue Ridge Mountains to the east and the George Washington National Forest to the the west. Both areas are renown for skiing, hiking and biking trails, and dramatic foliage in the fall. We are also about fifteen miles from Massanuttan Ski Resort and Water Park.
The area around Harrisonburg hosts a number of music festivals, including Red Wing Roots Festival, Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival, and the Shenandoah Music Festival. The town has a quiet small town charm with impressive public parks and an Annual Chocolate Walk in addition to other festive events throughout the year. As an added bonus, area universities offer a wide range of cultural performances throughout the year. And the splendid American Shakespeare Blackfriars Playhouse is a mere thirty minutes away in Staunton, Virginia.
There is a separate apartment over the garage to our house where a friend of the family lives. Their apartment is separate from the house but they park in the garage sometimes so please avoid parking them in.
