The private onsens are in outstanding condition, the public onsens are great although not as good. The breakfast was excellent with several Japanese and western dishes. "We had a truly memorable stay here. Beautiful setting and all very serene. Akiko san was our host for our visit, and she was fantastic at introducing some of the customs and etiquette associated with staying in a traditional Ryokan. I'd recommend that anyone considering this looks up the rules and etiquette for Ryokan stays first before booking. It's not for everyone. But if you're trying to immerse yourself in the culture of Japan, I think this is a must. "

The shuttle bus service was good, although the bus was not equipped to handle large baggage that foreign tourists usually have.
