"The staff were very kind and looked after my luggage as I arrived in Wakayama early. The hotel is very close to Wakayamashi station and easy to find. It is also close to the castle and other tourist attractions. Breakfast was very good, and the hotel has rental bicycles which were only 100 Yen which was cheap and convenient. The hotel seems like it needs to be updated as it looks a bit old in places, however it was very clean. It was very good value."

"Very close to the train station. And the department stores and restaurants just above the station. My room has an private washrooms, but no fridge. It's a typical old style Japanese businessman hotel where most rooms has no private lavatory and fridge. And one needs to use the shared one on the hallway. And there's a public bath."

"Amazing hotel with an even better view. I had a superb view of Wakayama’s castle straight from my hotel room. Of course the staff were nice and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is brilliant although it is about a 15-20 minute walk to one of the two close by train stations. I would strongly recommend this hotel for the view! "

"Loved it! So clean and what a great location (just next door to JR station). There are two adjacent shopping malls, Daiso is nearby, food options aplenty. The front desk staff are super professional and go over and beyond by thinking about the customer's needs. There is a free curry rice dinner service as long as you are a hotel guest (whoa!). There is no microwave oven in the hotel, but if you bring your food to the front desk they will heat it for you! "

"The facilities are varied, but with so many people, it is quite busy and slightly overcrowded. The breakfast is lovely, but the room is so small with so many guests that you will struggle to get food. They don’t allow people with tattoos in the onsen, and the rooms are quite small. "This was my first visit to Japan. I can’t believe the cleanliness of the place. It was easy to walk to the shopping areas around the hotel. The hotel room was very spacious (bigger than I expected). The hardest part was finding the rooms on the floor. It was rather complicated. Not the usual hallway rooms on left or right. "
