Peaceful, great sunrise!
Plenty of room for our group, plenty of TV’s to entertain if needed- though we were all in the living room watching the Olympics. The opportunity to fish or kayak is there but we weren’t in the mood and had other things to do- wish a brother in law a happy 99th birthday! 30 miles down the road in Alvin. The downstairs outdoor space is great with a wonderful breeze coming from the bayou. The lawn is well kept, the dock is a nice place to sit for a minute or fish. Alan, the owner was quick to respond to any question or need- very accommodating. Thank you

Perfect Location for Tournament
We had a supplier who had a fishing tournament to raise money for a benefit. Perfect location to where they were having the benefit. It was perfect for our gentleman that work for us.

Better than expected!
We enjoyed our stay. The house was tidy and the rooms have huge tvs. Kitchen is pretty well equipped, property is private, and fishing was good. Would definitely recommend for a peaceful fishing/family trip.

Beautiful property and great stay
Alan was easy to work with and very accommodating. We had read some reviews about the dock in poor condition and horrible mosquitoes... Alan has done a lot of work fixing up the dock and I know he treated for mosquitoes on the property... it is by the water so come prepared with bug spray and it's not too bad... we fished and caught several fish and even said hi one evening to a small gator. The location is great, 15 min to the beach or town and fishing/ crabbing on the property. We had a great time and will be back!

Great location near water
The bad thing was I’ve never seen so many mosquitoes in my life and I grew up in Houston. There was no coffee (a few grounds in the bottom of a can) and the house looks loved in with a fridge full of food and half eaten condiments. I’ve never had that before at a VRBO. There were huge roaches inside (is that normal in that area). Host may need to exterminate. We wouldn’t let baby on floor. Beds were clean…that was good!

Our stay was very peaceful. The home was clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 5. We could fish from the bayou or local spots close by. Attractions like Kemah Boardwalk and Moody Gardens were less than an hour away. The owner was great! Very responsive when we had inquiries. We would stay here again if in the area.

The place was very nice, accommodating to all our needs and wants. The mosquitoes was horrible but the view makes you suffer through it. Very nice little get away for some peace and quite.

This house is roomy with a beautiful closed in porch on the upper level with a wonderful view of sunrises and sunsets! We kept our boat at the dock and went fishing and even took a sunset cruise. It's a large property with a great fire pit right near the canal and lots of scenic views.

Really enjoyed the property. Last house on street, so very private. Easy checkin, well stocked w essentials and things to keep busy. House is older, but very clean and comfortable living space. Great fishing spot
The house is older but kept clean. It has everything you need. The property is huge with a ton of waterfront. The best fishing seemed to be directly out from the fire pit area. We battled high winds but ended up catching 5 keeper reds the biggest being 26.5" and one 18" flounder. We tried mullet and crab but the only action we had was on live shrimp rigged on bottom. The crabbing is great and will definitely keep the kids busy! The owner was very helpful. Only thing I would improve upon would be the boat dock and fishing pier which are in pretty rough shape. I just made sure to keep the little ones off of them. All in all I would definitely stay here again. Good value for the price.

Neat property
We really enjoyed our stay. We usually go to Galveston, but we wanted to stay somewhere different, away from the crowds. This property did not disappoint. You are away from the hustle and bustle of crowds of people. Bryan's Beach isn't too far if you want to go to the beach. Lake Jackson isn't too far either if you want to go shopping. But there was enough to do at the house that we only left to shop for snacks, ate out once in the oyster creek area and we did go check the beach out. But we went kayaking, fished, built a fire, and just relaxed. It was nice. My only complaint would be the bed and pillows, which is pretty much my complaint whenever we stay anywhere, so I always bring my own pillows...... but it's a nice place to relax.
