The hotel looks old and the amenities are quite limited.

This property did not live up to expectations. The photos online must have been photoshopped and do not represent the current state of the property. Having stayed at other resorts on Malaysia, this property is not a luxury escape. The facilities, including entrance, reception area, room including bathroom, restaurant, gardens and pool area are in desperate need of renovation, redecoration and major repairs. For example, tiles were missing from the pool and the pool leaked. There was little or no shade around the pool. The cushions around the shaded seating area in the garden were clearly mouldy which made that option unwelcoming. Overall I believe the descriptions and photos of the property were deceptive and the reality was very disappointing.

The river view. The excellent breakfast buffet. The friendly, helpful staff. Convenient for sampan trips across the river to catch up on Sarawak’s history dating from the White Rajahs’ era.
