"Loved living history for 2 nights in the Shoe House! We were a group of 5 friends for a high school reunion. The property is well maintained and enjoyed all the historical mid century touches. The current owners did a great job honoring the original decor and intent of the property. In the basement, there was a mini museum and gift shop about the history of the house. "This is a two bedroom apartment that is overtop of a restaurant and right next to the park. Parking is a bit difficult for checking in as we had kids and a lot of stuff, but there is a free lot down the street. The restaurant downstairs is great as well. We were beat after visiting the park with the kids and got some takeout!"

"We had 14 people there with all ages and fit very comfortably. It was beautiful to look out to the snow covered lake. Hostess was great to respond to our needs and easy to work with. The driveway goes down a little hill which was hard to get up with the snow but we understood the guy who does the snow plowing was on Christmas vacation so should be fine in the future. We enjoyed our stay there. Shopping and bowling in Du Bois. "

"This was our second time staying at Bob and Terri’s cozy home atop the hill and it was just as amazing as the first stay. It was a quick trip for us but was comforting knowing exactly what our stay would be like and that everything we could need to have a comfortable stay was already in place. The hosts even treated us to Lancaster made whoopie pies, special homemade breads and granola bars. "We enjoyed how big the resort is. Breakfast on site, the indoor pool and the children's playground were our highlights. We went from Sunday to Monday in the colder weather so there was not many people. We had the pool to ourselves and our kids had a really great time. The suites are really nice and have high ceilings with fans. "
