Great place for a quiet gathering!
Very peaceful setting. Large 4-season porch overlooking pond, with lots of space to spread out. Large deck catches sunlight all day!

Nice property but the cabin needed cleaned.
We liked the property. The pond was wonderful, the fire pit was conveniently located close to the cabin, and there was more than enough furniture for even very large groups. We did have to share the kayaks with the other cabin and they had a lot of people in their group. If you own your own you might consider bringing them. The only downside was the cabin was dirty when we arrived. My husband actually had to clean before I arrived it was so bad. When there is such a large cleaning fee, the cabin should be clean upon arrival to show that the fee actually goes to have the property cleaned.

Sibling Reunion. Perfect Weather, Lovely, Comfortable Space!
We are a group of 5 siblings and our spouses who gathered for the weekend for an annual reunion to catch up and recharge. The Buck Run Lodge suited us perfectly. There was ample sleeping space and living space, both inside and out. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and serving. The porch space is wonderful and we took advantage of the great weather and spend a lot of time outside, including an evening fire in the firepit. We are already planning to come back next year!

Nice Roomy Cabin... Just as listed.
Huge cabin with lots of room!! Everything we needed was supplied. Beautiful quiet area. Only minor issue was that there were no departure instructions, so we cleaned but was not sure there was anything they specifically wanted us to do before checking out.

Great spot for our family
We were in the area for a wedding and this spot slept our extended family and served as a great gathering place for a few others that were in town. The long enclosed porch fit us all for games and puzzles and we made use of the decks, grill and the kayaks in the cute little lake.

Best ever!
We hosted a wedding rehearsal supper for our son and daughter in law at the property, then our family stayed. There were thoughtful touches of everything a family could need, including firewood at the firepit, disposable 9x13 pans, paper towels, freezer ziplocks for leftovers, tons of towels and washrags, extra sheets....you name it. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and canoes and the large lawn to play on, while the adults dined on the large porch and lawn (large citronella bucket candles were on the porch from the owner). It was hidden away and quiet at night, and the beds were all comfortable. This is a rare jewel of hospitality!! Thank you!

Wedding weekend
Spent 4 nights here leading up to our son’s wedding in November and it was a perfect location. Wildlife by lodge every morning, plenty of space for the family and close to the location of all of our activities. Great experience and Kathy was great to come over and explain a couple functional things during our stay. Would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Needs TLC
Needs some light bulbs and electrical switches check out. The pond was fun but the area by the dock and around the sides need vegetation in water cut down. Maybe a dock to fish off? Fire pit was great. A great state park closed by. A nice play ground in town. Overall 4.5
