Crowe Cabin is a gem. I like that it's been in the family for multiple generations and I hope it stays that way indefinitely.
During our stay, I did not find any evidence of any mice so I was incredibly happy about that (I've had some past experiences at other cabins - it doesn't make you feel great).
We found the supplies on hand adequate and the amenities abundant. Even if one wants to get away, there's still WiFi available just in case you have something last minute to take care of. The pond next to the cabin heightens the ambiance to 11. The forest adjacent is full of paw paw trees, which could be of interest to visitors in the fall. There are ticks, however, but that's forests for you.
A smaller con is that the cabin lacks sound proofing. You will hear almost everything happening unless in the master bedroom. This isn't so much of an issue if you're close to the people you're with. If not, prepare to be closer :) On the plus side, due to the craftsmanship/notches on the stairs, they don't creak like a standard stringer with treads.
Overall I'd happily stay again and would schedule some time with Aleta to learn about its history.
