The Get-A-Way
The cabin was cute although could use some updating for the price. It was perfect for a getaway from all the fireworks in Los Angeles. It was very quiet and peaceful.

Great Cottage
My husband and I wanted to take our boys (14 & 12) to snow board and this was the perfect spot. It was close enough to all the snowboarding, skiing and restaurants. When we arrived at the cabin it felt totally cozy. Boys loved the yard and immediately started playing in the snow. Super cute cabin. It had all the essentials. It wasnt as clean as I would expect. The couch was very dirty, so I put one of our blankets on it. There was hair in the bathroom floor and sink and spiderwebs on the ceiling. But I would totally stay here again. We fired up the fireplace and it kept place super warm along with the heater. The heater in the bathroom was extra nice, especially after coming out of the shower. Overall we loved it and had a great time. Would highly recommend.

Great weekend getaway for 2
Property was nicely situated. Short walk to a nice coffee shop and “dank donuts”. Short drive to the village and to the lake. Price was right. Couldn’t be beat. Great experience.

Awesome "Getaway"
Everything was good. The property was nice, cozy, and as described. Super close to the resort, which made for a little difficulty getting in and out, but not too bad. Walls are thin and neighbors are a bit noisy at times. Made it difficult to rest and relax when there's loud music blaring late at night. However, other than that, our stay was great.

Wonderful respite from Palm Springs heat
the Get A Way cabin is ideally located for access to the lake, to hiking trails, to decent restaurants, and to a major super market. The neighborhood is very quiet. The cabin was perfectly adequate for my wife, our basset hound, and me. The kitchen is abundantly supplied, and the bed was very comfortable. The Cool Cabins staff were very friendly and efficient. We would certainly use them again in the future!

Best 4th of july !! Amazing fireworks show on the lake!! We went hiking in the morning, BBQ with friends that evening, watched fireworks.. out on the boat the next day.... What was a bonus was the cabin was close to everything...oh and on Wednesday nights there a car cruise at "Get a Burger" really good burgers....

Lovely, close and practical.
Lovely little home good for two in my opinion. Small beds upstairs would be fine for a single adult each or two kids in one, but two adults in one and you’d be wanting a divorce. Dog owners - there’s a little fenced in backyard that’s fine. Lovely little place close to anything as long as you have a vehicle.

Good Stay
Great location. Could have been much cleaner, floors, dishes & couches. DVD player would skip, multiple discs tried. Bedroom night stand flimsy, would spill water.

Cozy A Frame Getaway
This was the perfect spot for my wife and I as we were visiting Big Bear for the first time. We were close to all shopping and restaurants but off any main street so there was no traffic noise. The cabin itself was clean and nicely furnished, comfy couch and enough kitchen to keep two people fed. The bed might have been small, but that's what you get in the upstairs of a small A Frame like this. Not a complaint, but for a couple who are 5'10" and 6'2" and used to a CA King, it brings you together again! Cool Cabins manages the property and they were very friendly HOWEVER read the email carefully, you must stop by the office BEFORE you will be able to enter the cabin. The office is where you get the lock box code to get the key We were participating the the Spartan Beast and parking for the event was a short walk from the cabin and we would use this location again in 2020

Had a great trip here with my two kids. The pictures don't do it justice. It is rustic but much cuter than the photos. We had a great time and would definitely go again.

Cute but lots of things not working
We picked a simple cute cabin on purpose, but found what it did offer was innacurate. Simple things like the lighter was dead, the remotes had no batteries, once we finally got batteries the VCR didn’t work, the fireplace sureound fell off when we went to make a fire. We waiteda long time for maintenance, then he didn’t actually fix anything. After a long day of snow play, we wanted to let our kids relax with a movie...which never happened. We were told to use netflicks through the tv instead...so many hassels for things that should function. We ended up just going to bed and leaving early the next day.

Very rustic, basic, without cable TV
Overall the place online looks better than in-person. In general, the place is a little run-down. The bed upstairs was quite uncomfortable. The kitchen was very limited and if you plan on watching TV, you need Netflix or Amazon prime account. Although, I was not planning on watching a lot of TV while there, it caught me off-gauard that the unit did not even have basic cable.

Cute, small cabin
Modern decor, very clean and tidy. We all had a wonderful time and would book this location again. There were a few ants on the bottom floor but nothing to detract from the rest of the cabin. Highly recommended.
