"The hotel is a bit old. It's great if you're looking to stay in a property with a historical aspect. Check-in was troubling. I don't recall on the Hotel's description here on Expedia or on their own website that the deposit was $400 up front. I stayed for 6 days so that should have been around $170. The room I stayed in was okay. The bathroom was small and the furniture was peeling. How you watch TV in the room was a little new which was appealing. "Wonderful stay! Really gorgeous building, comfortable and clean rooms, and good dining options at the pied piper hotel restaurant. Pool area was lovely as well, we really enjoyed our stay! One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at :)"

"Quiet and good value if you don't mind a shared bathroom down the hall. Safe area, near to Columbus Ave and a short walk to Fishermans Wharf. I first stayed here in 1999 and it hasnt changed a lot which is a good thing!"

"Stayed here after a show at the chase center. Wonderful spot. Much better than the last SF hotel we stayed at. Staff was super nice and helpful. Parking attendant called the room right away to tell us my friend ledt her phone in the car and if she wanted it. Room was super clean. Great view. There is not a lot of homeless camping neaby. Which was our last experience. I have nothing negative to say about this hotel. Anytime i come back i will stay here and the price is very good too."
