Went through, we didn't really stop as my wife is from the country Filipino and we generally are at home at dark. Reports of pickpockets online, so as always have to be careful with money and cell phone, but that is true of any big city that you know or do not know. Overall seemed safe.
Touristy
Bring small bills and be ready to haggle
If it’s too good a bargain, it’s too good to be true according to the hotel staff. They warned against buying gem stones or gold at the market. If you want inexpensive souvenirs, you will find them here. Note that a lot of the cheaper items aren’t made in Cambodia, but rather in China.
Very scary. Be wary of people eyeing your iPhone and any cross body bags or backpack.
