"Overall a great stay, hotel with amazing decor. A downfall for us was the smell of cigarette smoke in our room at night, not pleasant to sleep in. Also, on the Thursday night, music from the bar/nightclub in the roof bar kept us awake until the early hours....not ideal for a good night's sleep!"

"It's more of a house than a hotel, but nice enough. I arrived quite late so had to ring the bell, someone came quickly and checked me in. The room was clean and warm, the sheets were soft and there was a kettle which is nice so you can make coffee when leaving early."

"There are some really bad reviews of this property - and it's easy to see why. So, so many things required maintenance or fixing that are just left as they are. In our room alone there was a broken shower head, broken shower support thing, broken lock, and a couple other smaller things. But the positives outweigh the negatives. Great breakfast, great location, and super friendly service all made up for the few inconveniences in the room. Plus the view was spectacular!"

"Hotel Sydney - Amman, Jordan I recently stayed at Hotel Sydney in Amman and had a pleasant experience. The hotel is basic yet clean and tidy, making it a great option for budget-conscious travelers. The staff were incredibly helpful and polite, always willing to assist with any queries or requests. One of the standout features is its fantastic location — conveniently close to various shops, restaurants, and local attractions. Notably, major sites like The Citadel are nearby; however, I’d recommend taking a taxi to get there since it's situated on top of a mountain. Fortunately, taxis are affordable and readily available. Additionally, the hotel offers car hire, day tours, and airport transfer services, which adds great convenience for those looking to explore the city or travel further afield. Overall, if you're looking for a comfortable, no-frills stay in a prime location with excellent service and helpful travel options, Hotel Sydney is a solid choice. One negative the hotel is based on a junction and Jordanian drivers do like to honk there horns "

"Ahmed at the front desk was wonderful and very helpful. He allowed me and others to leave our luggage then after checkout and come back to grab our stuff a few hours later. That was very convenient since it allowed me to spend more time exploring the city and not have to head to the airport directly. Hotel room was very clean and had basic needs. Price was fair but given the location (walking distance to all major historical attractions in Amman), it was a very good deal. The hotel is on a busy street with lots of activity, that could be a positive if you want a real feel for the chaotic Amman life or a negative if you are noise sensitive and do not like busy areas. Will certainly stay here again when in Amman again. "
