"Looks like this hotel has been recently renovated. Rooms are good size, has a separate toilet and bath which is rare in Japan. There's a handheld shower and deep tub for soaking. Lots of dining options, shopping and transportation nearby. The only thing that was disappointing was having to take a separate elevator from the ground or train level to the hotel lobby. "

"Staff lovely. Walkable to restaurants and shopping areas. Flexible, our check in time was at 3pm and we got there 1 hour early, room was ready so they allowed us to check in early. "Great stay! We enjoyed the restaurants: main restaurant, quick takeaway cafe, and rooftop bar. The room was cleaned everyday, even though we stayed multiple days. Easy walk to Gion’s sights. We used taxis mostly since it was a bit of a walk from the subway, but most of our trips were less than $10. Would stay here again."

"This was a really lovely hotel stay. The room was nice and had everything we needed. The staff were really helpful and kind even with the language barrier, but both sides managed to make it work with google translate. I was stressing about the best way to send our luggage to our next hotel in Tokyo and the receptionist was really helpful organising Yamoto. The breakfast was also really nice. "
