「The room was very pleasant. It was very warm in the room even with the radiator off and window open. Could do with more power sockets and one by the bed but otherwise absolutely fine. Breakfast was good too. We had lunch in the restaurant which was pricey but very good quality. Drinks expensive but l think that’s par for the course in a hotel 」

「Lovely old character style hotel. Friendly staff in reception let my colleague and I have a few holes of golf before sunset with no charge. Well priced drinks and food. The lady serving in the bar was grumpy but that was the only negative. Would highly recommend 」

「Smoothest hotel stay I can recall. Both the female receptionist in the evening and her male colleague in the morning were friendly and super helpful. I can't recommend the hotel enough. The views from the room were gorgeous, too. 」

「The pub is a lovely Olde World traditional English pub, with lovely food and a real homely atmosphere. I had pictured log fires and sofas, but it is more geared towards eating, with wooden tables and chairs (so my visions of relaxing with a book were sadly unfulfilled!) We visited on a Saturday and sat in the Dog loft for lunch, the small bites were incredibly filling, which kind of ruined our dinner plans! We were still stuffed hours later... Dinner was delicious, compliments to the chef...

「Great service from arrival to departure, all the staff were polite and helpful. Room was spotless and spacious, the bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was very good. The breakfast was continental style with lots of choice. Would we return?......yes we would.」
