"So the few things I did not like where the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, the onsen water was hot enough to burn me (the rock onsen at the bottom) and the pool closed SOOOO early that we didn’t get to experience it at all. I paid a lot of money for that hotel and then didn’t even get to experience the pool. But the staff was very accommodating and made great efforts to speak English to us. "

"This Ryokan was amazing. The staff were welcoming and gracious. The rooms are huge and traditional japanese style with futons and tatami mats. Each room had its own separate hot spring bath as well as separate men's and women's shared baths. The food was delicious and filling. It is located in a great small town nestled in a mountain valley. A quiet respite from the big city. Would definitely stay again! "

"Absolutely loved our stay here! We booked a room with a private onsen and included the dinner and breakfast meal plan. The views were incredible, the food amazing and the staff was very helpful pointing out the laundry facilities and a pedestrian walking path nearby. They even gave us sparklers to light on the beach for our last night. Hope to stay again!"

"Beautiful traditional Ryokan experience. Staff were absolutely a highlight, especially the manager who even gave us a ride to the station after our stay. The open air onsen was stunning, rejuvenating, not crowded, and you even get to take a cable car up to it which added to the charm for me. "The staff at the hotel were incredibly welcoming and went out of their way to help in whatever way they could. All rooms have an ocean view which is fantastic... you could open your windows and hear the waves crashing against the shore below. Also the terrace just outside the bar / lounge area was ideal for watching the setting sun. Worth the trip down there for the location "
