"I found unless I drank heavily before bed time that it was not enough padding to sleep well. I'm a side sleeper and if you are as well then you know we don't distribute our weight as well as back sleepers so need more cushion. Most nights I went out drinking for amazing karaoke so I slept solid (highly recommend Bar K-Station a short walk from here and they were super welcoming to foreigners). "Staff was kind, hostel and room was very clean. Area was quiet and very close to several convenience stores, food, and Ikebukuro station. "

"It is a perfect stay if you are budget minded. There is a lawson and matsuya next to the hostel as well as the hostel being a cafe itself. If you want to go to shimokitazawa or shinjuku you can take yoyogi hachiman which is close by. The beds are comfortable, have two power outlets, and storage for 2 medium sized luggage. The staff clean and mop the floor everyday around 12pm"

"Very helpful and friendly staff. The outside seating areas smelled of cigarettes and the room smelled of dryer sheets or something. They had a very nice laundry machine and commercial dryer, but it was outside and didn't have a combination lock. A little bit of a walk to the train station but not bad and lots happening in terms of interesting shops along the walk. Lots of nice restaurants and shops near the place too.
