I prefer boutique hotels, which BW is not. However, this property was converted from an historic hotel and is conveniently located in a walkable area featuring some hidden gems: Urban Tap & Distillery, Cafe Mocha, West & Main, Modern Methods Brewing (must see), etc. The Courthouse corner 2-queen BR we had was spacious and comfortable with a nice view of the park across the street. Warren OH itself is an interesting mix of rust belt decay with pockets of quiet urban renewal and an appealing riverwalk w/ parks. Hotel also features a large basement bar and pool table gaming area. Our 2 bartenders were helpful, friendly and accommodating. The woman attending to the continental breakfast bar (standard but decent fare with ample variety and choices) was extremely helpful, welcoming and hospitable. She even opened the juice machine for me after-hours when I briefly peaked in during clean-up. The next morning she checked on guests who were eating and offered to bring food directly to tables and bus dirty dishes. I'm certain these are not part of her job description...it's not a full service dining room. I have 4 complaints/suggestions: 1. Ensure the vent fan is operational in each guest bath; 2. Upgrade the lobby to be more inviting; 3. Improve front desk hospitality (it was functional but not particularly welcoming or knowledgable about the town); and spruce up the alley between hotel and neighboring bldg which leads to exclusive parking. Overall, I'd be happy to stay again.
