Overlooking Opunake Lake and with the beach an enjoyable 3 minute walk away - or longer if the kids want to climb the pohutukawa trees and play on the playground, I have no hesitation in recommending Barbwire Bach and hope to stay again.」

There were several trails within walking distance and Pukerura Park became a favourite location towards the end of the day, having spent several hours there during my first day. It was easy to communicate with Louise and Jonathan should the need arise.」
