"On paper" this motel isn't bad. The rooms were clean and recently updated. However, the room was very stark and sterile-looking. Bright white paint, super cold LED lighting, laminate floors, one very uncomfortable desk chair. The room was like an echo chamber. The rooms are not insulated at all; I don't know how this place stays open in the winter. Our door closed and locked, but it was very loose and no weatherstripping at all. We could feel the cold air coming through like it was a screen door.
The bathroom, again, was ok on the surface, but the toilet was not installed correctly, so the entire thing moved. The shower had the laminate flooring on the bottom; not correct for a shower and will not hold up over time.
The bedsheets were clean.
Overall, given the bargain basement price for this hotel, I could not be too disappointed. I just wish the renovation was done with a bit more care and character.
