Come for the view, stay for the food!
The house, pool and beach are all lovely and well maintained. Excellent accomodations for a group or family. Everything one could want or need is provided. Miguel's cooking takes this from a great house to rent to a truly luxurious experience. He prepared 4 dinners for us and each was AMAZING! Thank you Liza and Miguel for being such wonderful hosts. We will be back.

Anniversary trip
Liza and Miguel are wonderful hosts. We let Chef Miguel cook for us most of the nights since we didn’t want to leave the house and the beach. Anna is a jewel! We loved this location and the kindness and professionalism of our hosts.

Great place and great food
Perfect size for our 2 families of 4. Lots of space in this gorgeous home. The pool was great for our kids and the ocean was just steps away. The kids played in the fine sand that was cleared of seaweed every day. It was quiet and secluded and we really enjoyed the catered food! We would definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you so much Miguel and Liza!!

Exceeded our expectations!
Our 3 generation family of 19 spent 6 days with Liza and Miguel in the Shell, Boat and Fish villas. 11 adults and 8 children under the age of 6 yrs. The Secret Beach Villas was all that was advertised and more. It exceeded all of our expectations. Prior to arriving, communication with the owners was always prompt and informative. They leave nothing to question! Liza arranged our airport transfers and they were easy and very reasonable. Short 20 minute drive and after unloading at the house we included a grocery store stop to pick up a few things. Miguel was there to greet us, show us the "ropes" and welcome us to his home. Clean, clean, clean!! Everything inside and out! Comfortable beds, furniture, plenty of space to be together and to separate when needed. Kitchens are stocked and able to accommodate meal preparation, but we chose to order breakfast and dinner each day with Chef Miguel. Meals were delicious, reasonably priced and more than enough for all!! Pools are great and only steps from the house and from the beach........made it so easy to allow the children both options at the same time! 2 large trunks on the front porch of the Boat villa with plenty of pool and sand toys, floats, boogie boards and Kayaks! They really think of everything! Our timing allowed us to watch the Sea turtles nest on three separate nights......definitely an unexpected bonus! Maid and maintenance service was excellent and almost invisible! Security detail the same! Thank you Liza and Miguel for a great family trip to your beautiful property. We are already planning for next summer!

Mom’s 80th Birthday Celebration
We stayed in the “Boat House” (largest, middle unit). The location and pool were incredible! The staff was attentive and lovely. This location and convenient proximity to Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and the airport can’t be beat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We enjoyed being the only party on the property for the first couple of days. Eventually, a second party arrived, but they were thoughtful and a fun addition. The day before we left, a third party arrived and that became a little too many peeps sharing the property in our opinion. Loud music, voices and slamming doors became a little annoying. It just depends on the mix of parties you will encounter how that may impact your stay. It would be a great place for a family reunion where all three properties and people were shared.

Magical Getaway!
Secret Beach Villas was simply magical. Our villa was spacious, clean, and fully equipt and included daily maid service. Both indoors and outdoors, there is varied seating and lounging spaces for reading, playing, eating, and relaxing. The outdoors spaces allowed us to enjoy being together outside while enjoying our own activities. The pool was perfect for pool volleyball and other games our teens enjoyed. The beach was beautiful for walks and swimming. The setting is private and safe. Our hosts, Liza and Miguel, were very responsive to questions and advice. Chef Miguel cooked several meals for us which were beautiful and delicious! On days we went out for an adventure to cenotes or a boat trip, we would come back to a delicious meal made by Chef Miguel. This was by far the best vacation our family has had together, and we will be back again!

Such an awesome place and people
Words can't express how great Miguel and Liza did for our vacation. We haven't gone on a vacation for 3 years due to COVID etc.. and they made us feel safe, welcome, and SUPER relaxed. Their food is AMAZING, and always timely. They went above and beyond for us, and even got our kid a Pinata and Birthday cake for his 5th birthday. Sweetest people ever. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Family Vacation
We had 8 people that ranged from 63 to 1 years old. The property is as pictured. The owner was super responsive to our calls/requests. We had the welcome dinner which was AWESOME. The property is about 10 minutes drive to Puerto Morelos. There was no issues in the shuttles finding the property from drop off/pick up. The proximity to the ocean was amazing. We enjoyed our stay and will likely be back next year. The value for the property was great!

Relaxing
What a wonderful home and helpful hosts. We saw turtles coming up to nest at night. Chef Miguel’s meals were amazing. An amazing place to be away from it all and only a short drive into town for restaurants and shopping etc. I would stay here over and over. All the beds were comfortable, wi-if and tv were very reliable. They even have an Alexa okay list to get you in the vacation mood. The pool and beach were always clean and the owners very helpful. Be aware that the 4th bedroom is a bunk bed in the hallway alcove. Beautifully done but very hot during the summer season. Can’t wait to come back.

Fantastic Vacation!
Liza and Miguel were the most amazing hosts! We found ourselves in a bind after we found out that our original booking was actually a scam and Liza was incredibly accommodating and responsive. We had a number of meals provided by Miguel and they were all wonderful, ordering breakfast is a must (my fav was the french toast with banana flambe and my husband loved the huevos rancheros) The beach is practically private and the pool was great to cool off after a day in the sun. We rented a car and visited Tulum, Playa Del Carmen and Puerto Morales. All fun and easy trips. The staff was so very nice and kept the place spotless! We will certainly return for another stay!

Easiest and best trip we’ve ever had, especially with a baby
We feel like we hit the jackpot with this property and stay. Our hosts couldn’t have made it easier for us! We had an air conditioned shuttle waiting for us upon arrival. The fridge was stocked, the place was immaculate and dinner was ready at 530! Liza was so easy to work with and accommodated our needs as well as some last minute travel changes. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. I would stay here a again in a second.

Awesome Beach Stay
My family rented the Boat Villa for Christmas week. The villa was clean, nicely decorated, and had all the comforts of home. We had a pool and a beach right outside our door! Miguel’s food was awesome. I highly recommend this villa. We will be back!!

A small group of us stayed for a week at this house and really enjoyed it. We were working remote during the workweek and didn’t have problems with the internet on workdays. Chef Miguel prepared us some great meals and also did our grocery shopping so we didn’t have to go to the store or leave the property. The pool and beach were awesome. The beach was typically empty so it felt like a private beach all to ourselves! The house is a short drive to both Puerto Morelos and Playa del Carmen for those that want to go to restaurants and stores. It was also only 20 minutes or so from the airport which was great.

AMAZING PROPERTY!!! We had the time of our lives!
This was our first trip to Playa del Carmen and we were blown away at how amazing this property is. It's perfectly located in a quiet area, about 20-30 minutes from the town center of PdC and 10 minutes from Port Morelos which is a darling little town with restaurants, shops and water activities. The house itself was everything we could have asked for. Large and spacious with room to spread out. The private pool was steps from the door with great seating areas. The beach just mere steps from the pool/house. This beach is WONDERFUL. Beautiful sand and minimal seaweed which is a rarity. We swam in the pool and ocean every day. The ocean was warm and so clear with a long shallow slope and great wave action on windier days. The owners Liz and Miguel were more than we could have asked for. Miguel cooked fantastic meals for us daily so that we could stay in and enjoy the beach and pool. He presented a full and varied menu offering and very reasonable prices. We didn't have one meal that wasn't superb. Steaks, fish, lobster macaroni & cheese!!! It was all delicious. He makes THE BEST margaritas I have ever tasted. Bottled water provided for all of our needs. He even grocery shopped for us during our stay! We were worried about being so close to our neighboring vacationers, but that quickly went away when we realized having them next door meant meeting some incredible people and having a ton of fun with them. We would remain in solitude when we wanted to and they did the same. It was the best of both worlds! The setting is amazing and we took some magical photos while we were there. My husband has never been more relaxed on a vacation. Normally he wants to be on the go, but this place makes it very easy to soak into the vibe of "chill". Lots of activities are near if you do want to explore and stay busy. You just cannot beat this place and we WILL be returning again and again. Thank you so much Liz and Miguel!!

We stayed in the Boat Villa at Playa del Secreto and had an amazing vacation! The villa was huge and easily accommodated my family of 4 and my in-laws. The option to order meals really set this property apart. The last thing you want to do on vacation is worry about feeding everyone all of the time. Miguel and Beto are fantastic cooks and I highly recommend ordering a few meals during your stay. All of the staff on the property were kind and welcoming. And the BEACH! It was private and so close to the villa, it doesn’t get any better than that. We were asked about the villa a number of times from people walking from near by resorts, they wished that they would have rented here instead. We will definitely be coming back soon!
