Cub Cabin is nestled in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains inside the gated community of the premier all-seasons Massanutten Resort. With a private drive that can accommodate multiple vehicles and located in a wooded area, your stay will feel private and like a woodland oasis. Fully renovated, this house is just rustic enough to maintain the feeling of a cabin, but updated enough to be as comfortable as a brand new home. We regularly see deer in the yard playing in the morning and enjoy the feeling of being in a treehouse surrounded by greenery and changing leaves. Our spacious sunroom is a wonderful place to start the day with a cup of coffee and the downstairs game room is a relaxing space to play foosball in the evening. Our favorite feature is the new deck with a 3-person Nordic hot tub, gas fire pit, and comfy chairs to enjoy nature surrounded by trees and lights. Cub Cabin is the perfect getaway for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing stay surrounded by the beauty of Massanutten.

There is plenty to do on Massanutten’s Four Season Resort. The Resort offers endless activities including 2 18-hole golf courses, a water park, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, snow and grass tubing, swimming, mountain biking, a day-spa, shopping, virtual reality and escape rooms, fishing, mini golf, a Family Adventure Park, Rec Centers, bumper cars, go karts and so much more! Massanutten Resort has something for everyone and there are also several restaurants conveniently located on the Resort.

Massanutten is always expanding and offers new events and activities often! A few of their newest additions to the resort include seasonal pickleball courts, Splash’s Bar and Grill, a seasonal Farmer’s Market where local farmers and artisans come together, and their Light Up the Park light show which features light displays in the outdoor Waterpark!

The cabin is a short 15-minute drive to Harrisonburg and James Madison University's campus. Harrisonburg boasts gorgeous scenery, hiking and off-roading trails with sweeping views, quaint coffee shops, and local farm-to-table eateries. Spend a day downtown exploring local shops and museums or check out the different wineries, breweries, and caverns nearby as well! Skyline drive is only 20 minutes away which runs the length of Shenandoah National Park and offers miles and miles of gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains with spots to hike as well. This is truly a must stop accommodation!

Beautiful Cozy Cabin
The Cub Cabin was a perfect location for my husband, 2 friends and me while we spent our days hiking at nearby Shenandoah National Park. We saw deer in the back of the property almost immediately upon arrival and it was such a delight every morning to relax with a cup of coffee and watch the deer come by for breakfast and they even laid down to rest in front of the window! The cabin is Beautifully decorated and even though we did not cook meals, if you wanted to you would have everything. It's obvious that the hosts take great care of the property and it's a great location - close to Shenandoah, we visited Cave Hill Brewery and Brix vineyard and even drove a short distance into Harrisonburg to have dinner with my daughter who attends JMU. We'll be back for sure!

Great Cabin
Nicely furnished, spacious and very clean. Quiet, scenic location. Hot tub was a plus. Host was very prompt in responding to questions. Fifteen minutes from Water Park, Adventure Park, Go Karts, golf, etc. Check-in, stay, and check-out were flawless.

We've stayed in rental homes all around the world. This home is hands down one of the best we have had the pleasure of staying in. When we pulled up to the home, a deer was sitting next to the garage. It was a wonderul welcome! The house has every amenity you could ask for and it's hard not to relax and enjoy your time.

The cabin was perfect! Clean, well stocked, and the bed was very comfortable. The hot tub was a nice touch after long hikes in Shenandoah National Park. Communication with Kristina was great, she was very responsive and helpful. I would stay here again!

Beautiful Cabin and peaceful setting
Stayed at cabin recently for JMU graduation festivities. The cabin is beautiful, clean, well appointed and great for small group. We would definitely stay there again, if we return to Harrisonburg/Massanutten. Only suggestion to owners would be to supply soap,shampoo, etc. in the showers. Definitely a 5 star property!

Great vacation getaway!
Our family of six adults recently stayed here to attend our niece’s graduation from JMU. The house was very clean and suited our needs well. It was exactly as described in the description. It is fully equipped with everything you need in case you want to cook or is conveniently located to restaurants if you do not want to cook. We even had deer basically come look in the windows. We would certainly rent again.

Anniversary getaway
Our stay was great. Cabin was super clean and cozy! Everything was amazing except the hot tub was freezing cold when we checked in (Friday afternoon) I immediately contacted the host who assured me it was because it had been totally drained and cleaned. She stated it would be ready for use within a few hours. It wasn't until the next afternoon that we could even attempt to use it. Our stay was only 2 nights, so 50% of our time there, we couldn't use the amentity that we so looked forward to. Besides that, our stay was excellent!

Perfect Getaway Cabin!
My friends and I were looking for a nice getaway and this cabin was perfect! The cabin is much larger than the pictures appear, the hot tub was nice, definitely enough space to sleep 6 people, and has fun games. We will definitely be trying to stay here next time we visit.

Cozy Cabin in the woods!
The cabin is rustic and beautiful with modern appointments, secluded yet in the midst of all you want to do in the Shenandoah Valley. The host was very thoughtful, providing maximum comfort and well chosen details. Love the kitchen! As others have indicated, the driveway up to the cabin is no joke! We had a 4 wheel drive 8 cylinder vehicle to back up in the garage. This cabin is the best, I will definitely book again! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Nice Cabin
The home was very comfortable, clean, and as described. It was more spacious than I thought. The beds are very comfortable. The host provided extra linens. Kitchen was fully stocked for cooking. The house is really close to the resort. Only complaints I have is that the driveway is extremely steep, the front door does not seal well, & the walls are paper thin. Even with that said I will rent this home again the next time I come to massanutten.

We celebrated 2 birthdays this past weekend and got some ski lessons in! What a wonderful stay. Cute place, nicely decorated, updated kitchen, great location and even has a hot tub. Wish we could have stayed longer, but hopefully we can come back for another weekend.

Cozy Cabin Nestled in the Woods
We recently enjoyed a festive 3-night stay. The owner had the cabin nicely decorated for Christmas. There were festive holiday touches in every room. The cabin is conveniently located to the main areas in Massanutten and is within a 10min drive of many restaurants. The hot tub on the back desk was a nice plus on a cold evening. We never got around using the fire pit, but it looked very inviting. The driveway is quite steep and I’m guessing could be challenging in inclement weather. Fortunately, we had dry weather and enjoyed parking in the garage. This is a great property. Highly recommend it.

Awesome. Clean. Quiet area. Convenient to drive to. Fully stocked with all items you'll need to make your stay comfortable. Me and my (two) brothers stayed here for a super fun and informal 'reunion'! The location was nicely in the woods and generally 'isolated' - we saw deer within 30 minutes of being at the cabin. The amenities in the cabin made it super comfortable. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space and lighting. The hot tub was clean and also well lit. The Shennandoah National Park is conveniently located nearby, as are general amenities such as the resort grocery store.

Beautiful Property
This was a beautiful property. My husband and I stayed here for our 25th anniversary getaway week. Even though it is located back at the resort, we were able to have DoorDash delivered to us several times. And the days we wanted to go out there are very nice restaurants in the area. The house is in fantastic condition and we were very pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of the home. We definitely plan to stay here again.
