First off, the location is great. The neighborhood is full of great restaurants, pubs and shops. Very cool area. However, when we arrived to check-in, the house was not cleaned whatsoever or ready for our stay. There were dirty dishes and old towels on the ground from previous renters. The key wasn’t in the lockbox so we had to call/msg the host multiple times to sort it out. A housekeeper had to come in and clean which delayed us from checking-in until about 9pm, which unfortunately ruined our plans for getting settled/unpacked and ready for a pre-wedding event that evening.
Once we finally checked in, the place was nice. However, a few things to note - the jacuzzi is not hot... it did not warm up the entire time. And the Apple TV/WiFi connection did not work, so we didn't have access to that, or any other streaming services. The studio unit renters downstairs also had issues accessing their key so they kept knocking on our door to help out. Also no garbage bags or paper towels, so we bought some at the store.
The actual townhouse itself is cute, lots of room and a very unique layout. Loved the outdoor terrace, and plenty of windows for natural light. So, minus some very frustrating setbacks and major miscommunication with the host, it was a decent stay.
We are still currently waiting for our refund from the first night though, as the host said she would reimburse us that cost for the inconvenience. So far, no response or updates on the refund though…
