This is a nice little one room cabin with just about everything you need. The one thing that I wasn’t thrilled about was the need to think about heating with a wood stove. Thankfully, there was a nice ceramic heater and an electric baseboard in the bathroom, but you certainly wouldn’t want to leave those on overnight, or even when you’re away. Same thing, though, for a woodstove.
So that’s one thing. The other is that the communication with the rental agency wasn’t terrific. They had indicated I should bring my own amenities, like groceries, but they never really specified what they provided and what they didn’t, even when I emailed back. So I was forced to buy some supplies at a pretty expensive place just across the water only to discover that the place didn’t even have tea or coffee. Thankfully, someone had left some filters for the Mr coffee machine. I went and got a really overpriced bag of coffee the next day, but that’s just ridiculous. If you have a rental agency, they need to answer their emails . In addition, leaving a few sachets of instant coffee and a few teabags would be nice.
Otherwise, this was a great property and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
